Our recent Free Eye Camp was a resounding success, bringing much-needed eye care services to hundreds of individuals in our community. This initiative was designed to offer comprehensive eye screenings, exams, and treatments—completely free of charge—to those who may not otherwise have access to essential vision care.
What We Did:
- Free Eye Screenings: Our medical team conducted over 200 (Appx.) vision screenings, helping identify common eye issues such as refractive errors, cataracts, and early signs of glaucoma.
- Comprehensive Eye Exams: We performed detailed eye exams to assess the health of participants’ eyes and detect any underlying issues.
- Eyeglasses Distribution: Hundreds of individuals received free prescription eyeglasses, allowing them to improve their vision and quality of life.
- Cataract Surgery: Several individuals with cataracts were provided with free surgery and follow-up care, restoring their vision and helping them regain independence.
- Ongoing Support: We offered referrals and continued support for those needing specialized treatments or further care.
Impact:
- Over 200 participants benefited from our free services during the camp.
- Many individuals who had been struggling with vision issues for years now have the ability to see clearly, significantly improving their daily lives.
